Most people in Egypt, especially in upper Egypt, live below the poverty line, earning less than $3 per day. Help us support those families by covering some of their daily needs of food, clothing and medical care.
Clean water is extremely hard to get in both North and South Sudan, with people walking miles every day to gather it. Buying water is not affordable to most.
Many children in Egypt and the Sudans lack access and funds to education and healthcare. A lot of them must drop out of school and work in order to afford food for their families. Even then, sometimes, they do not make enough to afford healthy food for themselves and their families.
SMRO has been actively involved in sponsoring development programs and small projects specially in Upper Egypt, where more than 50 percent of the nation’s poor live.
Saint Moses Coptic Relief Organization is a 100% volunteer-based Canadian, charitable organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency in 2012. Our focus is mainly in Egypt, Sudan and South Sudan to save lives by helping underprivileged families with Food, Clothing, Medical bills & basic necessities. Our objective is to defeat poverty and achieve social justice.
PRAY for the service
People are required to care for their fellow humans who are in need.
“For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’” Deuteronomy 15:11
The Power Of Prayer
Do we appreciate the power we have available to us when we pray in Jesus’ name? When we tap into his resources by faith and pray, miracles happen. God answers in powerful ways.
“”Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:19-20
ADVOCATE for the less fortunate who do not have a voice
Reaching out to others to fulfill Jesus’s command to love one another. As we draw near to the hungry, thirsty, naked or in prison, we are commanded to be merciful to them, and show them the kind of love Christ showed to us.
We are also required to generate support and affect social change and be a courageous voice to advocate for people in need.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Proverbs 31:8
SPREAD THE WORD to those around you
Whether it is through word of mouth, or social media – with friends or at work gatherings, spread the word about SMRO causes you believe in. The more informed you are, the more likely others are to listen to
you—and to share your message with their social media followers.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14
